What does the warranty cover?

For Mammut products, the strictest quality requirements apply. If there is a material or manufacturing defect in your equipment, we will fix it or replace the product for you free of charge – within the statutory warranty period. The only requirement is that you purchased it through an authorized sports retailer or directly from Mammut.

The warranty period is 30 months, and for commercial or professional use, it is 12 months, starting from the purchase by the end customer. The date on the purchase receipt is decisive.

Damage caused by accidents, improper use, normal wear and tear, damage from fire, sharp edges (such as crampons, rocks, skis, etc.), as well as fading of colors due to UV radiation are excluded from the warranty.. Sure, such damages can occur, but in such cases, we are here to assist you with our professional repair service at a fair price.

Please note that we only accept clean items. Clothing must be freshly washed. On one hand, for hygiene reasons, on the other hand, we re-tape the seams after a repair, and the tapes used only adhere to a clean surface.

The decision regarding repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price of a product lies with Mammut. To clarify a warranty claim, we ask you to bring the clean product along with the purchase receipt to your nearest Mammut store. If you purchased it on mammut.com, you can simply fill out the contact form and send it to us along with detailed photos of the damage.

How can I request a repair or report a damaged productcomplain?

We develop our products so that you can enjoy them for as long as possible – they should protect and support you in your adventures to the best of their ability. However, there would be no adventures if they didn't put your equipment to the test. If your product is defective or damaged, and a repair is necessary, we ask you to proceed as follows:

1. Fill out our contact form and send it along with the purchase receipt and a clear image of the damage.

2. We will conduct an examination and confirm your repair request, if possible.

3. Send us the item by mail (you will receive the address with the order confirmation) or drop it off at your Mammut Store. Please note that we can only repair clean products.

4. After receiving the item, we will create a repair overview. If the costs exceed your maximum amount, you will receive a cost estimate. You can find a cost estimate in our repair price list (German, English, French).

5. As soon as your product is ready for outdoor adventures again, we will send it back to you with an invoice.

We do our best to get you back to the mountains as soon as possible.

Please note that repairs and warranty claims during our peak season (October–April) It can take up to approximately 5 weeks.

How long does it take to carry out a repair or process a warranty claim?

Once we have received your request, we will need a few days to provide you with an initial assessment* of your claimed product. As soon as we determine whether it falls under warranty or not and whether it can be repaired, we will contact you with the most suitable solution.

*Please note that any decision regarding the repairability or warranty status made before the product has been physically inspected by our team is for guidance only and can be revoked at any time.*

You can expect an estimated processing time of about 2-3 weeks, from the moment your item arrives at our repair center to the moment we return it to you.

If your item is not repairable, the same processing time applies from the moment your item arrives at our repair center until the moment we issue your refund or send a replacement.

Please note that this time indication may depend on your complaint and the type of repair or final solution.
